Of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ 16 divisions and conferences, the Warehouse Division is one of the largest. The division provides a variety of support services to local unions and their members. These services include:

• Design and execution of successful bargaining and job action campaign strategies;
• Assistance in organizing workers interested in joining the Teamsters Union;
• Conducting production standards reports and time studies;
• Working with members to understand and build successful strategies to better deal with production standards and systems;
• Administration of grievance panels; and
• Coordination of legislative activity.

One of the Warehouse Division’s largest contracts is with Costco. For more than 20 years, the more than 15,000 Costco workers have had a say in the terms and conditions of their employment. Teamsters’ representation offers these skilled workers the ability to earn a middle-class income with great benefits in a safe working environment. The East Texas Review says, “The Teamsters union provides strong bargaining representation for the workers.”

Through the use of available technology we are more responsive today then ever before to the needs of the membership and those workers in our industry interested in securing strong Teamster contracts.
